Library contexts and clients

Explores the past, present and likely future roles of libraries in society from the viewpoints of library contexts and clients. Examines reasons why libraries developed and the diversity of contexts in which libraries have been and will be supported. From the viewpoint of clients, libraries are studied as a means of sharing knowledge and bridging information barriers, in society and organisations. Adaptation to change is also examined.
