GSC2309

Human services organisations: practice, planning and development

This subject will examine two areas of organisational practice: organisational theory and law. Students will study organisational structure, workgroup behaviour, competitive tendering, administrative skills, the Australian legal system, and how the law impacts upon social work in organisations. The subject will include a compulsory sixteen-day field education placement, the aim of which is to integrate organisational and legal theory and practice. Students should note that there are no weekend or residential schools in this subject.
