The objective of this course is to provide an integrated introductory course of
studies in accounting for non-graduates who have appropriate employment
experience.
On
completion, successful candidates should have:
- an understanding and appreciation of fundamental accounting techniques;
- practical and analytical skills in accounting and related areas;
- an understanding of the role and the processes involved in accounting
and its relationship with the overall management of an organisation;
- developed communication and research skills designed to improve analysis
and reporting of standard accounting information within an organisation;
- the skills, opportunity and encouragement to progress to further studies
in accounting at the graduate level.

course is offered on-campus at the Caulfield campus and by distance education
at the Gippsland campus.
Two
semesters of part-time study. Normally a student will study two subjects per
semester.
