Objectives On completion of this subject students should have an understanding of the process of organisation change; be aware of the role of leadership, power and culture in that process; have an understanding of the historical development of change approaches; have knowledge of change intervention techniques; and have developed the capacity to analyse case studies of change situations.

Synopsis This course will provide students with an understanding of the process of organisation change within the context of organisation culture, power and leadership. This will be achieved through the examination of the major schools of thought concerning the management of change, and through an analysis of the change processes used in organisations.

Assessment Written (two assignments of 1500 words and 2000 words): 15% and 25% · Examination (2 hours): 60%
