Structure

This handbook is divided into sections.
The 'Faculty information' section at the start of the handbook contains important information about the structure and organisation of the faculty. A 'general advice' section follows which provides information about the various student services available within the Arts faculty, and within the university and student policies.
A section, 'Outline of studies' follows for Caulfield, Clayton and Peninsula campuses, as well as Berwick campus and Gippsland campus, which describes in detail, the course requirements.
A full listing of all subjects offered by departments or centres, including details of where and when the subject is offered, the subject's learning objectives, a general synopsis, assessment details, and any prescribed or recommended reading. This is in alpha numeric order.
There is a separate 'Details of subjects' section for Caulfield, Clayton and Peninsula campuses, as well as Berwick campus and Gippsland campus.
