Objectives As for THA2310. Successful completion of this subject should enable students to gain fluency in language skills which should move towards more formal use of language. Students should have acquired social and cultural proficiency in spoken and written Thai. In the reading component comparison of informal and formal use of vocabulary and expression should emphasised.
Synopsis As for THA2310. This subject will develop competence in language communication skills at an advanced level as well as sociocultural understanding of Thailand. This will include a survey of Thai literature and contemporary issues.
Assessment Examinations (2 hours): 40% - Oral examination: 30% - Classwork, assignments: 30%
