Policy, program planning and evaluation II

Objectives This unit builds on SWM5140. It aims to enable students to learn how to carry out a planning or evaluation project and report on it, integrating the material learned in SWM5140.

Synopsis This subject involves the student carrying out the project planned and negotiated in SWM5140 (Policy and program planning and evaluation I). Students work, in groups where possible, under the supervision of the subject coordinator in carrying out this project. Classes focus on integrating the academic material learned in SWM5140 into the conduct of the project.

Assessment A major final report for the community agency (6000 words): 67% -A classroom presentation of the project report (1-hour duration, 3000 words): 33%
