Objectives On successful completion of this subjectstudents should have acquired semi-academic proficiency to be able to read most authentic texts from various sources, and from memory, reconstruct the content of what they just read.

Synopsis The aim of the subject is to develop extensively the skills in reading and understanding diverse materials in contemporary Korean. The subject is designed to consolidate and develop the comprehension skills in reading materials on current topics in the newspapers.

Assessment Examinations: 2 hours (40%) - Weekly assignments: 40% Class participation: 20%
