Synopsis This unit provides an environment and format within which students can apply skills developed in previous units. The focus of this unit is to further develop expertise in the area of Digital Illustration. This may involve preparing, drawing, painting, assembling or building images or elements to be used within an illustration, or, depending on the exercise and students' intentions, may be entirely computer generated, or a combination of both techniques. Tuition is primarily given individually and focuses on the needs and objectives of students within the class. Students develop and explore digital imaging/illustration options at a sophisticated level. The product or outcome of project work may be directly applied to design work undertaken in other subjects. Students can choose between a series of set assignments or to develop their own projects in consultation with studio staff. Opportunities exist for group critique and evaluation sessions throughout the semester. The course will be delivered through demonstration/workshop sessions in groups of up to fifteen students. The subject may run concurrently with DIS3106 depending on enrolments.
