* Prerequisites: Third-year applied physics/image processing subjects with appropriate compulsory units

Synopsis At least six units are to be taken, with `Experimental design and data handling', `Advanced instrumentation' and `Readings in applied physics' being compulsory. Students are required to present a report on an original applied/experimental project chosen in consultation with their supervisor.

Assessment Examinations (normally 6x2 hours): 50%
