Objectives As for PHS3042.
Synopsis Students who have obtained a pass in PHS3042 in previous years and wish to convert this to the equivalent of PHS3022 may enrol for PHS3062. This subject will comprise 4.5 units (including the six-hour unit Professional studies 2). The unit selection must include the PHS3022 core units not previously attempted, and be approved by the head of department. Students who intend taking honours physics in their fourth year must take the `Advanced quantum mechanics' unit.
Assessment Examinations (4x1.5 hours): 65%
