Directed studies in geography

Objectives Students participate in an established subject or related subjects either within the discipline or in an appropriate related discipline. Learning objectives as specified for that subject but the formal assessment to be negotiated by the department's fourth-year coordinator to ensure that it meets the requirements of an honours-level twelve-point subject.

Synopsis Students undertake one or a combination of subjects in geography or some other discipline, a program of reading and discussion in a particular area or a special program of lectures etc. under the direction of their supervisors. Assessment is based on assignments during the subject and an examination.
