Objectives Conduct a critical review of the literature relevant to their field of study; derive appropriate hypothesis for testing, or question a problem to be answered; devise an appropriate research design showing regard to practical problems of conducting research, ethical considerations, and principles related to the chosen research methodology.

Synopsis Students, under supervision, will conduct the research proposed in the first semester. This will culminate in the production of a research report of no more than 15,000 words and a research seminar presentation.
