Synopsis Health services research and evaluation is concerned with collecting, analysing and interpreting information on the need for, implementation of, and impact of `interventions'. This subject emphasises the planning and evaluation of public health services and programs. Research methods of various disciplines including epidemiology, economics, social science and psychology will be examined and their relevance to health services research will be discussed.
