Objectives At the completion of this subject, it is anticipated students will have an understanding of the major health deficits of ageing and have developed nursing approaches that will assist older clients who have acquired one or more of these deficits.
Synopsis This subject assists students to develop theoretical and practical understanding in relation to the major deficits encountered in aged care. Nursing diagnosis, clinical approaches and relevant acute care interventions are addressed.
Assessment Two assignments: 40% and 60%
