Applied research for rural health professionals

Synopsis `Applied research for rural health professionals' supports the preparation of your Master of Rural Health research proposal. This subject contains a theoretical component and is based on the acquisition of practical research skills. You use audio and video resources, tables and diagrams to enhance the written word and help you turn `thinking' into `doing'. Students undertake a critical review of literature and develop, under supervision, a research proposal, an application for access to research grants, and the required ethics applications. This subject also deals with responsibilities and issues associated with research supervision.
Special requirements Access to personal computer facilities and modem is desirable but not essential. Residential attendance is not required.
