The Graduate Diploma in Information Systems is offered by the School of Information Management and Systems. It provides specialised and directed study in contemporary techniques, methods and technologies in information systems to computing professionals.

The aim of the Graduate Certificate in Information Systems is to provide graduate students with the knowledge, skills and attitudes essential to the appropriate application of information technology to support the information needs of business.

Admission requirements

Applicants should hold a bachelors degree with a major in computing or information systems, eg a Bachelor of Computing or Bachelor of Information Systems from Monash University or equivalent qualifications. Consideration will be given to an applicant who has relevant professional qualifications and experience (normally, at least seven years) and is occupying a senior position in industry. Some places are available for applicants who do not satisfy this requirement but who have extensive high quality industry experience in information systems.

Fees for Australian residents

In 1998 the course fee is $4000 or $1000 per subject.
