Objectives At the completion of this subject students should be conversant with major contributions to the development of the recordkeeping professional literature; be able to consistently argue a case with reference to appropriate authoritative writings; be conversant with current issues of debate in the professional literature; and be able to critically evaluate contributions to the professional literature.

Synopsis This subject provides a critical examination of sources of information for archives and records related activities. It explores and reviews the literature following a reading group model. There are no prescribed texts, but students select from reading lists for LAR4520 and add their own readings.

Assessment Reading diary: 40%

* Essay: 40%
