Advanced topics in database systems

Objectives Through this subject, students focus on object-oriented database systems, extended relational database systems and database integrity, including extensions to relational DBMS, procedures, rules and client-server database architectures.

Synopsis The syllabus will vary depending on current developments in database technology.

Assessment Written (3000 words): 50%
* Practical work: 50%
