* Prerequisites: A subject involving computer programming

Objectives The subject enables students to extend their design and programming abilities to allow them to develop relatively large and efficient software systems.

Synopsis Topics to be covered include systems analysis, systems design principles, database design, data entry and validation, screen and report design, modular programming, menu-task systems, C programming, system and program documentation, data dictionaries, database definition, indexed files.

Assessment Assignment: 20%
* Examination (2 hours): 80%
