Objectives Students are expected to acquire knowledge and understanding of the hydraulic, pneumatic and instrumentation systems of aircraft.
Synopsis Topics to be covered are the basics of hydraulics and pneumatics; introduction to hydraulic fluids, seals and components used in aircraft and aerospace equipment; design and layout of aircraft hydraulic and pneumatic systems; types of aircraft instrumentation including servomechanisms, transducers and power controlled systems; fundamentals of navigation and navigation aids.
Assessment Examination (3 hours): 70%
