Objectives To impart an understanding of mass and energy conservation and exchange as it relates to fluid flow and to introduce students to basic fluid system and related components.
Synopsis Fluids: statics and forces, conservation of mass and energy, the Bernoulli equation, pipe flow and losses. Basic hydraulics and pneumatic power. Electrical power, distribution and cabling.
Assessment Examination (3 hours): 70%
