Objectives To develop in-depth knowledge in a particular area of materials engineering of special interest to the student. To develop organisational ability in the planning of a research or development project.

Synopsis Project in the materials field involving a literature survey, experimental or theoretical program, preparation and an oral defence of a technical paper.
