Objectives The student is expected to gain knowledge and understanding of design of electronic circuits for specific applications, to learn of device limitations and to understand the characteristics of different circuits in order to determine their performance. The student is expected to develop skills in electronic circuit design, analysis and trouble-shooting. The student should gain confidence in design, construction and testing to meet specifications.

Synopsis Field effect transistors and amplifier application (CS, CD). Large signal amplifiers, feedback amplifiers, operational amplifiers, DC regulators, DC amplifiers, applications of computer analysis packages.

Assessment Examination: 70%
