Objectives The student is expected to gain basic knowledge and understanding of transform and polyphase technique of network analysis.

Synopsis Application of differential equations and Laplace transform, Heaviside and convolution techniques to circuit modelling and analysis, transfer function representation. Fourier series representation and analysis, harmonic spectra, Fourier and discrete Fourier transforms. Polyphase systems; balanced and unbalanced, 3 or 4 wires, star or delta connected systems. Star-delta transformations. Complex power and power measurement.

Assessment Examination: 70%
* Laboratory sessions and assignments: 30%
