Environmental engineering laboratory

Objectives The subject sets out to introduce and develop knowledge and understanding of the importance of careful and appropriate experimental design, and skills in the analysis and interpretation of data. Further, the subject aims to provide direct experience, and skill development, in the carrying out of a range of experiments utilising commonly encountered experimental tools and analytical facilities, and in the writing of concise technical reports.

Synopsis Statistical methods; experimental design and procedures; data analysis and reporting. Specific laboratory exercises relating to the core subjects of air, water, and soil environment.

Assessment Laboratory assignments: 50%
