* Students are expected to embark upon the project in December of the previous year. Satisfactory completion will be difficult if the project is not started well before the commencement of the first semester

Objectives The student is expected to develop the ability to undertake a literature survey and document an investigation which demonstrates an in-depth knowledge and understanding of a particular aspect of electrical, electronic and computer engineering.

Synopsis This subject is for either the pass or the honours degree. It is intended for students who would prefer a predominantly structured course of lectures and examinations, rather than individual open-ended work. It consists principally of researching some topic on the basis of current literature, although a little laboratory or computational work may be involved.

Assessment Practical and written work: 100%
