4 points
* 26 lectures and 24 laboratory hours
* Second semester
* Clayton
* Prerequisites: ECS3311, ECS3331, ECS3362

Objectives The student is expected to develop an understanding of the application of semiconductor physics and linear circuit theory to electronic amplifiers.

Synopsis Small-signal equivalent circuits: mid-band range, poles and zeros, low-frequency and high-frequency response in the time and frequency domains. Amplifier stages. Differential amplifiers: common-mode rejection. Dc amplifiers: offset and drift.

Assessment Examination (2 hours): 75%
* Laboratory work and assignments: 25%
