Objectives The student is expected to develop an understanding of the methods of evaluating transport projects and systems.

Synopsis A course in technology assessment including project and system evaluation; cost- benefit analysis; economic, social and environmental assessment; evaluation methodology; analysis of contemporary modes of transport.

Assessment Written: 30%
* Examination (2 hours): 50%
* Practical work, fieldwork and seminar participation: 20%
