Objectives The student is expected to gain an understanding of the role of public transport and be able to apply practical skills in the planning and management of public transport enterprises.

Synopsis Role of transport, public transport functions, demand modelling, supply modelling, public transport management, scheduling and timetables, performance indicators.

Assessment Examination (2 hours): 50%
* Assignments and practical work: 40%
* Seminar participation: 10%
