Objectives To develop the skills associated with managing and running an engineering project.

Synopsis The subject examines the broad area of project management and its place in civil engineering. Particular emphasis is given to the life cycle of an engineering project and advanced management techniques for medium and large developments. The role of project management, types of management, evaluation, scheduling, cost estimation, safety and environmental issues engineering projects are considered.

Assessment Examination (3 hours): 50%
