Objectives The subject allows students to acquire skills in an application area such as programming languages (Pascal, C++, Visual Basic), spreadsheets, hypertext, databases, mathematics packages, graphics, expert systems, computer-aided drafting, etc. Learning is based around a development exercise.

Synopsis Specific content will be recommended for each student. The subject is project based, with a single project requiring about 125 hours for completion.

Assessment Practical work: 100% (Report, product, two seminars, class participation)
