Objectives The student is expected to acquire further knowledge and understanding of heat transfer and of unit operations involving simultaneous heat and mass transfer.

Synopsis Heat transfer with phase change - condensation (pure and multi-component systems, vapour with non-condensable gases), boiling; radiation heat transfer, simultaneous heat and mass transfer - humidification, de-humidification, cooling tower, evaporation.

Assessment Examinations: 85%
