management.
The objectives of the policy and management pathway are to provide

- appreciate that there are numerous approaches to the theory and practice
of educational policy and management, appreciate distinctions between the major
positions, and develop a critical attitude towards them;
- be able to locate matters of relevance to their own educational practice
within the broader context of educational governance, policy and management;
- develop an understanding of important concepts in the management of
educational institutions, such as leadership, power, organisation, educational
change and governance;
- develop an understanding of educational governance and reform;
- acquire techniques of scholarly enquiry in the field of educational
policy and management, and be able to apply theoretical understanding to
practical situations, and become competent in the exercise of appropriate
administrative skills;
