Advanced business research methods for marketing honours

Objectives On completion of this subject students will be able to prepare a model and problem statement for a research proposal; evaluate the suitability of alternative business research methods for specific problems in marketing research; operationalise a research problem using the appropriate mix of secondary data and qualitative and quantitative solutions.

Synopsis An in depth introduction to the critical thinking and planning required in the initial stages of a thesis or research project.

Assessment Literature review: 30%
* Model and problem statement: 20%
* Theoretical project: 20%
* Examination (2 hours): 30%
