Objectives On completion of this subject students should be able to demonstrate a detailed knowledge of a selected retail area of study; further develop and apply the skills of research, analysis, interpretation and presentation of data; relate theory to practice and through learning develop an inquisitive attitude.
Synopsis This subject requires the completion of a major project which will demonstrate the skills and knowledge acquired by the student during the course. It can be either a practical on-the-job study set by the student's employer in conjunction with the academic supervisor which is not part of the student's normal job; or an in-depth study of a retail issue through research. It will involve the submission of a major written report.
