Objectives On completion of this subject students should be able to identify the impact of the international environment on an organisation; demonstrate an understanding of the managerial implication of different forms of foreign operations; analyse and evaluate the effectiveness of an international business operation.

Synopsis The international environment; forms of operations available to the internationalising organisation; the impact of the multinational enterprise; international strategic planning; plus international marketing and management issues.

Assessment Written individual assignment: (2000 words) 30%
* Written group assignment: (4000 words) 30%
* Examination: (2 hours) 40%
