Honours thesis in management

Objectives The objectives of the honours thesis are to develop research skills appropriate to further academic study or a career in a research or related field; provide experience in the design, implementation and management of a research project; provide an opportunity for students to develop a detailed knowledge of a specific area within the general field of management; and to integrate the skills and knowledge developed through the honours program.

Synopsis The honours thesis provides the student with the opportunity to undertake independent research on a topic of their choice. The research is normally formulated during the coursework in first semester of the honours program. Students work under the guidance of a supervisor to carry out research that addresses: a classic or contemporary disciplinary debate; a current policy issue; or a generic issue within management practice.

Assessment Written thesis (10,000- 15,000 words): 100%
