Objectives On completion of this subject students should have knowledge of the economic environment in which an organisation operates; the methods of accumulating and using financial data and reporting the results of the activities and current financial management concepts.

Synopsis Lectures and seminars ont he principles of forms of business organisations and financial structures; the overview of the economy; managerial finance; and cost accounting systems.

Assessment Class tests 30%
* Examination (2 hours): 70%
