Objectives Upon completion of this subject students should have an understanding of how to research a topic and be able to apply their disciplinary and technical skills to a problem. Students should be able to present their report to staff members and their student colleagues in a structured and learned manner.

Synopsis The subject is designed to provide honours students (or equivalent) with a research project which will enable them to apply their technical, research and communication skills.

Assessment Research paper: 60%
* Presentation skills: 20%
* Participation: 20%
