Objectives To complete the introduction of the writing system and provide students with the basic oral communication skills to interact in daily situations appropriately with respect to Thai cultural values.
Synopsis This subject aims to extend the basic skills achieved in first semester. Students will be introduced to the subtleties and nuances of language and status. The speaking component will allow students to operate in a wider variety of situations. The written and reading component will complete the introduction of all the tone rules. The course aims to enable students to demonstrate, in writing, the level to which they can speak.
Assessment Examinations (2 hours): 40%
* Oral
examination: 30%
* Classwork, assignments: 30%
