Objectives Students successfully completing this subject should have developed an understanding of how organisations function in terms of their structures, policies, practices, economic and political influences. They should also have gained an understanding of how to change aspects of organisations, especially through planning and evaluating human service programs.

Synopsis The overall aim of this subject is to prepare new graduates to work effectively within organisations, particularly in terms of developing and changing them. In order to achieve their professional goals within organisations, social workers need to have knowledge about how organisations and the people within them work. The subject focuses on the administrative aspects of social work practice.
