Objectives At the completion of this subject students should have acquired an in-depth knowledge of a specific topic of main importance for Spain or any of the Spanish American countries.

Synopsis This subject allows students with special interests the study in depth of a particular topic in Hispanic literature, culture or linguistics. All the assignments will have to be written in Spanish and completed according to the MLA's guidelines for writers of research papers. Students intending to enrol in this subject must consult with the head of Spanish and obtain his/her approval well in advance.

Assessment Two essays (3500 words each): 80%
* Complete bibliography: 20%
