Objectives On completion of this subject, students should be able to understand and produce everyday spoken Spanish; describe and narrate in oral and written forms, using different tenses and modes; and understand relatively difficult passages both orally and aurally. This subject also aims to help students to develop an appreciation of Hispanic life and an understanding of cultural diversity within the Hispanic world.
Synopsis The subject emphasises performance in the skills of speaking, hearing, reading and writing in the target language. It also contains elements relating to grammar and to Hispanic life and culture. The language of instruction is Spanish.
Assessment Examinations (2 hours): 40%
