Objectives The main objective of this subject is to enable students with no previous knowledge of Spanish to acquire the basic skills required to communicate effectively in the target language. The subject also aims to introduce students to the culture of Spain and Hispanic America.
Synopsis This subject provides an integrated, innovative and communicatively-oriented Spanish course which develops all-round competence in the basic structures of the language. The subject also introduces students to the history and culture of Spain and Latin America through the medium of integrated reading passages and film.
Assessment Examinations (3 hours): 40%
