Objectives As for SCY3090. This is a third-year subject which is also available to second-year students. Students who attempt this subject at second year will have to demonstrate an understanding of the process of concept building in urban sociology.

Synopsis As for SCY3090.

Assessment Two essays (2000 words each): 40% each
* Semester test (1 hour): 20%
* Second-year students will be required to sit an exam at the conclusion of the semester which tests the student's ability to define and formulate sociological concepts used in urban sociology.
