Objectives As for PLT2292 with the additional objective that third-year students should have completed more reading, and attained a higher level of theoretical understanding and conceptual sophistication than second-year students.

Assessment Two essays (2000 words each): 50%
* Tutorial presentation and participation: 10%
* Examination (2 hours): 40%
* Third-year students will be expected to demonstrate wider reading, greater empirical knowledge and a deeper conceptual understanding of the issues involved, by answering questions from designated sections of the examination paper.
