Objectives Upon successful completion of this subject students should have gained greater expertise in the performance of selected repertoire from a wide range of periods; completed the required body of technical work, including scales, arpeggios and studies as set out in the technical syllabus for the relevant instrument; completed further work in sight reading appropriate to the technical standard for second year; and performed the set work common to all students presenting for assessment on the same instrument.
