Objectives This subject aims at providing an introduction to the principles of Jewish law. Students will develop an understanding of the way Jewish law has adapted over time and in relationship with a range of host legal systems.
Synopsis The focus is on the way in which Jewish law has established its principles and has then been applied in Jewish life in a range of host countries including, in modern times, Israel and Australia.
