Objectives Students successfully completing this subject should be able to comprehend Japanese television programs and to participate in discussion of current issues in Japanese; read a wide range of materials in differing styles on a variety of subjects, and develop self-study skills for further study.

Synopsis This subject is a continuation of JPL3510.

Assessment Tests: 50%
* Performance activities: 20%
* Assignments: 10%
* Essays (2400 characters in Japanese): 20%
